Trails and Sharing

At Lida, we do not believe in endless folders or complex subprojects that require dozens of clicks. Instead, we use a fluid and organic system based on Tags that naturally evolve into Trails.

🏷️ The Golden Rule of Trails

To create a Trail, you don't need to navigate through menus or forms. Just type the hash (#) followed by the context name in your capture bar (e.g., #home, #work, #renovation).

Seeing work tasks while you're trying to organize household chores generates anxiety. The power of Trails isn't just in grouping — it's in the ability to hide. By collapsing a Trail, you physically remove that cognitive load from your vision until you're ready to deal with it.

🤝 Double-Lock Sharing

The biggest flaw of family or small team productivity apps is the "all or nothing" policy. Either you share your entire account, or you share nothing.

Lida solves this with the Trail Sharing system:

1. Default Privacy: Your Daily Log is a sacred and 100% private space. No one besides you has access to your thoughts and general tasks.
2. Contextual Invite: You can click on any Trail (e.g., #home) and generate an exclusive invite just for that tag.
3. Focused Collaboration: When the other user accepts the invite, any task you create containing the #home tag will magically appear in the other person's Daily Log. And vice versa.

You share the mental load of what matters, but maintain the total individuality of personal routines.

Retroactive Sharing

When sending an invite, you will see the option "Share existing items with this tag" (checked by default). When enabled, as soon as the guest accepts the invite, all your existing items with that tag will automatically become visible to the new partner — without having to recreate anything.
